Custom Hijab Development Process: From Design to Bulk Production
How custom hijab development works from design to bulk: design discussion, fabric selection, sample approval covering dimensions, colors, labels and packaging, and bulk production with QC photos.
Most hijab brand owners are comfortable with the design side of their label — what they need is clarity on what happens after they send it to a manufacturer. Here is the custom hijab development process at our factory, step by step: what you send, what we do, and what you approve before bulk production.
Step 1: Design discussion
Send reference images, sketches, or photos of hijab styles you want to develop — plus your target market and quantity plan. Tell us the style direction you are building: jersey hijabs, modal hijabs, chiffon hijabs, instant hijabs, or khimars. You do not need a professional tech pack — most private label hijab buyers start the same way.
You get: a quote within 24 hours, covering the goods price, the sample fee, and a freight estimate together, not just the goods.
Step 2: Fabric selection
Fabric decides how a hijab drapes, stretches and wears, so we treat it as the core development decision rather than a detail. For jersey hijabs we review hand feel, stretch, weight and drape with you: a heavier weight falls differently from a lightweight one, and the stretch level changes how the hijab holds its shape through the day. Modal and chiffon options follow the same logic with a different drape character.
In-stock fabrics keep development fast. Newly sourced fabric adds mill time and a higher minimum — both confirmed upfront, before you commit.
Step 3: Sample development
We make your hijab as a real sample in the selected fabric. Size confirmation, shape, finishing and edge treatment are all checked on the physical piece, and a wearing test shows how it actually sits and holds. The hijab sample fee is US$50, refunded in full when you place the formal order.
The sample ships to you by courier — typically US$40–100 depending on your country, quoted upfront.
Step 4: Modification and approval
You review the sample and confirm the details that go into bulk: dimensions, colors, labels (woven or printed with your brand), and packaging. Adjustments at this stage are a normal part of the process — it is cheaper to change a sample than bulk goods. Nothing moves to production until you approve.
Step 5: Bulk production
After approval we cut and finish your hijab order on our own floor, and we send production photos at the cutting and finishing stages so there are no surprises at the end. Before anything ships, we inspect the bulk goods and send you photos of the actual pieces.
First orders usually go by express courier — door to door and fully tracked. With DDP we quote the courier cost plus estimated duties for your country together. Re-orders skip sampling entirely and are the fastest, cheapest orders we run.
